Visit to the RWC 3D Truck

Mr Clarke asked if we wanted to go and see the 3D display on the lakefront for the Rugby World Cup-wouldn't it be cool if we could watch all the Rugby World Cup Games like that!

This week was AWESOME !!!!

PE nearly everyday man thats fun we played dodgeball for most of the PE session but room 13 was in the hall on thursday so we played turbo touch instead its just as fun, we started that about 2 weeks ago "work hard play hard" is our saying. all the boys in the class are cool as we get along man rugby is fun as when you dont get hammered. tech was fun this week we done pottery and mine started to fall apart. This week was fun.

Dylans Update

On 16th of february the boys only class went to GO BUSH we had to walk 12km to camp the first part of the walk was steep. on the way we went and feed the pet eels,when they hear foot steps the swim up to you. We feed them meat so we put it on string and they would swim up and eat it.When we got to camp we were so hot we went for a swim in the river, then we had to put up our tents but the dumb thing was that one group had the wrong poles so they had to use rope to tie it to the trees it looked pretty funny. That night we went eeling one group caught a eel but thats it so we keep our lines out all night and we came back to them in the morning. We all thought that one of our lines were caught on a rock but we had a big eel on it was huge,But we had to keep hitting on the head, one of the lines had a trout on it,it was a good size to.The best part was doing the hangi and it was so nice.But over all it was so fun.

Welcome to 2011 and the Boys Only Class - so far this year we have had a kayaking afternoon at the lake, have met the Chiefs, have four teams entered in the touch competition, have had 7 players selected for the BOP Touch Team and have spent 3 days in the bush!!

A FANTASTIC day for us up the mountain (well most of us!) Ben had a whole 5 minutes on the slopes before spending the rest of the day in the medical room! Oh well - boys will be boys!

Jacob H's Update

This week the boys class has started to do our x country training and our Rugby unit properly and we just finished making our ultimate all black rugby team. And also we are going on our ski trip on Wednesday we have started our Mathsmatters Mobiles and Posters. We all think the ski trip is going to be Awesome.I like doing the Mathsmatters Mobiles the Maori language week posters the Ultimate rugby team.

Shaun's Up Date

This week the boys class had one heck of a week because we had a really nice hangi ,fry bread and the beep test. I'll start with the hangi, we had it on thursday and it was the the nicest hangi we had ever had, the chops were cooked just right. We had to bring the vegetables so yeah. Now the fry bread . I had never tasted it in my life, we put golden syrup and butter on it and they where delicious and it turns out we are pretty good cooks and Carm's mum came in helped us with it. Alright now the beep test, there was a group of us that went first and they did really well the last person to get out was Cam he got 12.8 and thats pretty fast. Now the second group went ,and I was in that group, off we went to a good start when it got up to about 9.3. People got out and I was still in, Ben and Caleb as it reached 10.3 I dropped to the ground and I was puffing. Then Caleb got out but Ben was still going and the beep went off before he crossed the line and he hit the wall and he was stuffed he got 13 .6 that's really fast. It was a great week.

Fry Bread

Today we made Maori Fry Bread as part of Te Mahi Kai (Maori Language Week 2010) it was DELICIOUS! Thanks to Carmel, without you some of our bread would have been pancakes!! We ate it hot dripping with butter and golden syrup...YUM...

Carms Update

We got this NEW flip video and we have this one funny video that i recoded and we had a netball game against the girls we lost but team getting pretty good. YAY maths matters this term its pretty fun doing scale drawing and posters and we have a new boy in our classroom his name is Jack Rouse hes pretty quiet in class and TUWHARTOA festival this term that's going to be fun plus we going to the museum on Monday that might be fun? And Gabriel Izaiah and i are been teaching four of the Noumea boys that are going there and Mr Hayden the Haka. And we designed these avatars they pretty cool and yip that's all !!!

Squash Lesson

On Monday we went to the Squash Club-as part of our Winter Sports PE unit.

Netball vs the A Team

Each Friday we play the A Netball team to help them train up against some high class players before their big tournaments next term...So far we have let them win but they had better watch out because we are getting better...

Jonty's update

Hi everyone, today we are painting our class window and it looks really awesome so far but it is going to look way better when its done.

Next week we have parent teacher interviews and we get a half a day on wednesday and we might also be going to the squash club to play some squash.

We are also working on our comics which really cool, my one is called the fluffy cat.

Tomorrow we are facing the netball A team it is going to be a bit of a challenge but I am looking forward to facing them.

Window Painting

We are working on painting our class window-it looks so cool-the bright colours really stand out-we have some budding artists in our class!

Team Building Kayaking Day-Term One

Mr Haydon took us to Wharewaka Point in our first week of the year. This was a cool way to bond as a class.

latest blog from Ben

On the 14th of June our class had the semi finals for interclass soccer. It was a tough and a competitivebut fun as well. There were some pretty amazing shots (from lewis) which was a fluke but sadly they won. At the moment we are making comics for english as nathan said on the last blog. We have also just started painting our windows writing (room 2) one letter for each window and I personally think it would look real cool. I'm looking forward to the netball game on Friday against the A team.
